Look Back

Our tax professionals will conduct a two-year tax review of your last two filed 1040 Individual Income Tax Returns. The purpose of the two year tax review is to look for any missed deductions, errors in preparation, and to gain familiarity with your current investments and entities. Before looking forward, you should always look back.

This two-year Tax Review is performed by our Tax Advisor Team which is composed of CPAs, EAs, and tax attorneys with years of experience and specialists in reviewing past returns. They will look at your past returns for any mistakes and make sure you did not leave any money on the table.

Many times, we are able to find missed deductions or errors in prior preparation, giving you the opportunity to amend the returns and put a few more dollars back into your pocket. It is also an essential first step to developing your tax plan.

Document the Present

The US tax code is ever-changing. Our Keep More Solution call is the beginning of a continual process to minimize your overall tax liability. Our Tax Advisors conduct a review of your personal activity, business entities, and investments and document your current tax structure with important deadlines and compliance items.

This step helps reduce your tax burden under the Tax Code so you can “keep more” of your hard-earned money and use it in other areas that will benefit you, your business, and loved ones who will carry on your legacy.

The Keep More Solution is centered around a review of your existing tax practices to ensure you are set up in the most efficient way. Our Tax Team is composed of CPAs, EAs, and tax attorneys with years of experience who will review your entities and the flow of funds through them from a tax perspective and begin looking at strategies to help reduce taxes.

Books and Financials

The third step is reviewing your current bookkeeping practices and finances and ensuring you have a plan in place to maximize the benefits that come with good books.

We will offer solutions for clients who do not have experience with the IRS requirements for books and records and show them simple ways to be in compliance while at the same time reaping the rewards that come with knowing your numbers.

In our experience, there is nothing as important to minimizing tax liabilities and maximizing profits as Keeping Good Books. Your tax prep time will be a fraction of what it was in the past and you will be able to take steps to maximize “what you keep” through tax planning. It all starts with good books.

In your meeting with our bookkeeping specialist, they will review your current practices and financials. For clients who use their own bookkeepers or handle bookkeeping duties themselves, we review the charts of accounts of the various businesses to ensure compliance.

For clients who do not have bookkeepers, who do not have experience bookkeeping or who simply want help, we customize a plan for them with our bookkeeping department. We offer everything from virtual bookkeeping services where clients handle most of the recordkeeping to full-service bookkeeping services where we maintain the company books for any entities requested.

We are an Intuit “Firm of the Future” because of our innovative use of Quickbooks and Inuit products to save clients time and money.
